Heat transfer is the technique of printing on fabrics by transferring a printed design from paper to fabric with heat and pressure. It is a fairly instant process.

A heat press is the machine that presses a transfer (design on paper) onto an imprintable surface. Using high temperatures and heavy pressure for a certain amount of time, the transfer is permanently embedded into the garment.
